European Summit on Disability Rights Held in Berlin on December 6
On December 6, the European Summit on Disability Rights took place in Berlin, with participants from Caucasus, Central Asia, and Eastern European countries. During the visit, facilitated by our organization, the European Disability Forum (EDF) signed a cooperation agreement with organizations from Central Asia, the Caucasus, and Eastern Europe.
Additionally, on December 17, a working meeting was held with representatives of the European Disability Forum. Discussions focused on recommendations to be prepared within the framework of the European Summit on Disability Rights. Our organization, together with partners, submitted six additional recommendations aimed at further strengthening the protection of the rights of persons with disabilities.
The "Coalition for Independent Living" has always upheld and continues to uphold European Union values, such as equality, inclusion, and the protection of human rights. All our initiatives are aligned with these principles, striving to create a society where every individual’s dignity is respected and equal opportunities are guaranteed for all.
