The technical regulation "National standards of accessibility" was approved
On the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the Government adopted a technical regulation on "National Accessibility Standards", which is in full compliance with Article 9 of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
According to the regulations, no unadapted buildings will be built in Georgia from March 1. According to the "National Standards of Accessibility", no building or infrastructure, except for an individual dwelling house, can be implemented without taking into account the needs of all categories of people with physical disabilities. The technical regulation will come into force on March 1 and will apply to all construction permits issued after this period.
